Lights zine: issue number one【電子書籍】[ Pleasure Boat Studio ]

楽天Kobo電子書籍ストア

LIGHTS is a new, possibly annual, space for a variety of local and Pleasure Boat Studio talents. Behind the name: When first coming up with the name for this collective way to publish more people, I was thinking of one word possibilities, starting with boat related ideas to pair the theme with ‘Pleasure Boat’: mast, anchor, waves, skiff, oar, etc. Then, ‘lights’ came to me, simple as that and I liked it and stuck with it. The feeling of it felt warm, infinite, fresh, mysterious, clean, airy, mystical, soft, glowing, urban, can’t even describe it really….Then, I got to thinking of forms of light, natural and electric, and the feeling and meanings “Light” can evoke by what light is cast, by which angle and direction, and what lights can show or reveal, reflect or bare witness to. Lights illuminate the dark so we can see, so we can see where we’re going, and see where we are. So, take a glimpse and a ponder into what these contributors want to show you, for what they may put a spotlight on in our lit up world, however dark it might get sometimes. short stories: John Christopher Nelson / essays: Baret Magarian, Mary Lou Sanelli / poetry: Esther Cohen, John Delaney, Eileen Duncan, Scott Ezell, David Grosskopf, Alicia Hokanson, Edward Harkness, Jared Leising, Claudia Castro Luna, Kevin Miller, Melissa Ni?o, Allison Paul, Sherry Rind, Sarah Plimpton, Scott Ruescher, Judith Skillman, Kari Vamaro, Thomas Walton, Michael Dylan Welch, Shin Yu Pai / art: Jason Bloom, Lauren Grosskopf, Nancy Peacock, Lara Swimmer, Travis Winn, Robert Zimmer
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

Signatures in Stone【電子書籍】[ Pleasure Boat Studio: A Nonprofit literary press ]

楽天Kobo電子書籍ストア

“Scary and satisfying…I loved this novel…. Lappin’s people are as dangerously compelling as her Italy.” ? Nina Auerbach, author of Our Vampires, Ourselves “Readers looking for an intelligent summer mystery will find much to savor here.” ? Wilda Williams, Library Journal

“Written in an elegant, relaxed style, with a plot that peels back slowly, the book bewitches…” ? Mystery Scene Magazine

“Lappin is a modern day Agatha Christie with prose that is like eating dark chocolate or sipping a glass of fine wine ー the story continues to entice your senses and simply gets better and better the more you partake.” ? I Love a Mystery

“Linda Lappin’s Signatures in Stone boasts a remarkable knitting of mystery and romance, a delicate and intricately concocted layering of mysteries.” ? Gently Read

“Lappin has populated a dilapidated villa and its adjacent park of grotesque sculptures with a vivid group of victims and suspects who turn out to be mysteries in themselves. While the primary pleasures of Signatures in Stone are its places and its people, the story itself satisfies because its twists are ingrained in the chasms of its setting and its characters.” ? Walter Cummins, Rain Taxi.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。
