Former pilot Jax Rainer once lived for speedーadrenaline, instinct, and split-second decisions. But after a mission ended in scandal, he walked away from the sky and the man he used to be. Now, living quiet and directionless, he is drawn into the world of Velocity, an elite strike team known not for brute force, but for surgical precision.

Silent Speed

Under the calm, disciplined leadership of Mara, Velocity operates by a single principle:
Every mission begins at the ignition pointーthe smallest act that shifts everything.
Not speed. Not chaos. Purpose.

As Jax trains with the team, he learns to slow his racing instincts, understand motive, and value the smallest, cleanest action over the loudest. When a dangerous convoy threatens innocent border towns, Velocity is deployed. Their task is simple but perilous: disrupt the operation without a single life lost.
A quiet relay. A thirty-second window. One shot at changing the outcome.

In the silence of the missionーthe shadows, the breath-counts, the razor-thin timingーJax rediscovers a different kind of speed: the speed of thought, clarity, and purpose. He begins to understand that precision is not hesitationーit's control. And sometimes, the quietest spark prevents the largest disaster.

Silent Speed is a gripping, character-driven action thriller about redemption, moral clarity, and the discipline required to make the right move at the right moment. Perfect for readers who enjoy stealth-focused thrillers, military strategy stories, and introspective heroes navigating second chances.

? What Readers Will Learn & Take Away

Purpose over impulse: Why intention matters more than speed.

Strategic thinking: How small, precise actions can shift entire outcomes.

Emotional discipline: Slowing down to choose wisely in pressure-filled moments.

Redemption: Finding new identity after failure or public loss.

Team values: How trust, motive, and clarity shape elite operations.

Moral responsibility: Understanding who is affected before acting.

Leadership wisdom: Strength comes from steadiness, not volume.

Inner quiet: Quiet confidence is more powerful than reckless action.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

MAXTON There may be more fun than a house-party, but I doubt it. Certainly I, Page Allison, have never had it. What could be more delightful than to spend two weeks in a beautiful old country home with such a host as General Price, and to have as fellow guests all the girl friends you care for most in the world,ーto say nothing of some of the male persuasion that at least you don't hate? Harvie Price had been promised this house-party by his grandfather as reward of merit, and, like most things earned by hard labor, it proved to be worth the work expended. The Tucker Twins of course were there, Mary Flannagan, Shorty Hawkins, George Massie (alias Sleepy), Wink White, Jim Hart, and Ben Raglan, whose Other name was Rags. There were two men from the University whom we did not know before, but it did not take long for us to forget that they were new acquaintances. They fitted in wonderfully well and a few hours found them behaving like old and tried friends. Their names were Jack Bennett and Billy Somers, and both of them hailed from Kentucky. There was a new girl in the party, Jessie Wilcox. She wasn't quite so easy to know as the new boys. I always feel like crying when I think of dear little Annie Pore's connection with that house-party. She was of course the very first person Harvie asked, the one he wanted most. I think in his mind the party was given to Annie, and when Mr. Pore with characteristic selfishness and stubbornness refused to let her go, it was a blow indeed. His plea was that he needed her to keep the store for him. He had hired a clerk after Annie went to boarding-school, and owing to his growing business, had kept the boy on through vacation, but on the eve of the house-party had seen fit to get rid of him, having sent him on an unasked for and undesired holiday
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

A murder aboard a steamboat forces Abraham Lincoln to make a fateful choiceーone on which the future of the nation may hang, if his client doesn’t firstーin this gripping follow-up to the “masterfully crafted” These Honored Dead (Alex Grecian)

Newly minted trial lawyer Abraham Lincoln is riding the circuit, traveling by carriage with other lawyers and a judge to bring justice to the remote parts of Illinois. Meanwhile, Lincoln’s close friend Joshua Speed steams up the Mississippi River aboard a steamboat owned by Speed’s father. Suddenly, his journey is interrupted when a rigged card game turns to violenceーand then murder.

Speed enlists Lincoln to defend the accused, but soon they come to discover that more than just the card games are crooked aboard the Speed family’s ship. As the day of judgment hurtles toward them, Lincoln must fight to save the life of his client while also preserving the cause he holds so dear.

Meticulously researched and deftly plotted, Jonathan F. Putnam’s second Lincoln and Speed mystery, Perish from the Earth, revolves around a true historical murder that, while nearly forgotten today, was one of the most infamous crimes of the nineteenth century and played a key role in driving the nation toward civil war.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。
