The story of Iran's nuclear journey is neither a simple tale of defiance nor merely a matter of international treaties. It is a complex sagaーone entangled in ideology, historical betrayal, strategic deception, shifting alliances, and the delicate dance of global diplomacy. This book, a chronological and thematic exploration of critical milestones, attempts to demystify the intricate layers of the Iran nuclear tension, uncovering not only the political decisions that shaped it but also the religious, strategic, and human dimensions that defined its trajectory.

We begin with the roots: the original tension, the reactor once gifted to Iran by the United States under the Atoms for Peace program, and the unexpected religious constraintーthe fatwa by Ayatollah Khomeini forbidding chemical and nuclear weapons. These early contradictionsーan offer of technology alongside theological rejectionーset the foundation for decades of suspicion and ambiguity.

As we delve deeper, we examine how Iran's nuclear program evolved, highlighting the reasons behind its uranium enrichment efforts and the mounting friction with the International Atomic Energy Agency. We explore the international fears of an atomic bomb, and how narrativesーtrue and falseーshaped global reactions.

The geopolitical dimensions then take center stage: the collapse of the Iran deal during Trump's first term, Iran's escalating threats to Israel, and how these events spiraled into a series of military actions, accusations, retaliations, and attempted de-escalations. From Biden's presidency to the resurgence of Trump in a second term, the reader will find the pages infused with diplomatic maneuvers, covert operations, and headline-grabbing confrontationsーeach with rippling consequences.

This book also delves into lesser-known but crucial moments: Iran's advance warning before attacking a U.S. base, Trump's tactical manipulation to force a ceasefire, the symbolic funeral ceremonies, Senate authorizations, and claims of insufficient U.S. retaliation. Through these chapters, we uncover the choreography of war and peace, and the fragile trust underlying global security.

In narrating these events, the goal is not merely to recount history, but to present it in its full complexityーwhere political interests clash with ethical boundaries, and where public perception often hides more than it reveals. This is a book about Iranーbut it is also a mirror reflecting the choices of world powers, the fragility of agreements, and the precarious balance that sustains global peace.

Let these pages serve as both a chronicle and a warningーa testimony to what has been, and a question mark over what might come.

The Author

画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

Book Description

In the annals of modern geopolitics, few policies have had as profound an impact on the global trade landscape as the decisions made by U.S. President Donald Trump during the first 100 days of his second term. Taking office once again on January 20, 2025, Trump wasted no time in reasserting his "America First" doctrine, a rallying cry for protectionism, domestic production, and what he described as the revival of American industry. However, the measures he championed ー particularly aggressive tariffs ー sent shockwaves through the global economy, triggering both alarm and uncertainty across markets, economies, and governments around the world.

This book offers a detailed analysis of the seismic shifts in global trade that unfolded during this crucial period. Through a comprehensive examination of Trump's tariff policies, this work investigates how his administration's moves reshaped relationships with key trade partners, including China, Canada, and Mexico, among others. It explores how these tariffs, ranging from modest levies to extraordinary reciprocal tariffs as high as 145%, directly impacted the economy, leading to rising tensions with international trading partners, heightened inflation risks, and an increasingly volatile global market.

The first 100 days of Trump's second term were marked by an aggressive approach to trade, beginning with the imposition of tariffs on steel, aluminum, and automobiles, and culminating in sweeping measures against a variety of countries. These actions, although designed to protect American workers and industries, raised concerns among economists and analysts who warned of the potential for a global recession. With the Trump administration invoking national security as a justification for many of these tariffs, they set the stage for a new era of trade wars ー a reality that reverberated across industries as diverse as energy, technology, and manufacturing.

At the heart of this exploration lies the question of whether Trump's trade policies were a necessary step in restoring the U.S. to economic prominence or if they were short-sighted, ultimately causing more harm than good. Were these actions merely a reflection of the president's unyielding desire to assert U.S. dominance, or did they signal a broader shift in how nations approach economic cooperation and competition in an increasingly multipolar world?

The stakes were high, and the consequences of Trump's tariff policies remain a topic of fervent debate. This book delves into the intricate web of trade, politics, and economics during this period, offering readers a front-row seat to the tensions and transformations that continue to shape the global economic order. From the escalating trade war with China to the imposition of tariffs on goods ranging from automobiles to semiconductors, this work chronicles the events of Trump's first 100 days in office and attempts to decipher the long-term ramifications of these bold and controversial moves.

As the world watches and responds, the reverberations of Trump's trade policies are not merely confined to the borders of the United States. This book is an essential resource for anyone seeking to understand the challenges, opportunities, and risks of navigating the complex and increasingly fraught terrain of global trade in the 21st century.

画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

This book asks a simple question that resists simple answers: Why did Kamala Harris lose the 2024 presidential election?

On the surface, the outcome looks familiar. An incumbent party lost amid voter frustration over the economy, immigration, and global instability. A polarizing challenger returned to office by assembling an electorally efficient coalition. Analysts rushed forward with explanationsーsome confident, many partial, most shaped by prior assumptions about how elections ought to work.

This book is written in the conviction that the result deserves a slower, more comparative, and more disciplined analysis than the immediate post-election cycle allows.

Rather than advancing a single thesis or partisan verdict, the chapters that follow treat the election as a multi-causal eventーone in which structural conditions, campaign strategy, demographic change, cultural dynamics, and institutional choices interacted in uneven ways across states and voter groups. Each chapter examines one major explanatory lens, compares competing accounts within that lens, evaluates the strongest available evidence, and flags what remains uncertain or contested.

Three principles guide the approach.

First, no single explanation is sufficient. Economic dissatisfaction, turnout decline, coalition realignment, racial and gender bias, campaign execution, and party decision-making all played rolesーbut not uniformly, and not always in the ways their advocates claim. The task is not to choose between them prematurely, but to understand how they overlap and where they diverge.

Second, turnout and persuasion are treated as analytically distinct outcomes, not interchangeable symptoms of support or enthusiasm. A central theme of the book is that modern elections can be lost not only because voters change their minds, but because they decide participation no longer feels consequential. Several chapters return to this distinction, showing how different mechanisms dominated in different states.

Third, the book aims to separate what we know with confidence from what we infer, and from what we still do not know. Where claims rest on strong empirical foundationsーvalidated-voter studies, turnout data, consistent state-level patternsーthey are identified as such. Where evidence is suggestive, mixed, or incomplete, that uncertainty is stated plainly. Citations are provided for the most load-bearing claims so readers can pursue the underlying research directly.

The structure of the book reflects this comparative ambition. Early chapters lay out the core puzzle and the dominant analytic frames used by scholars and commentators. Middle chapters trace what changed in the electorate, how the Harris campaign operated, what it communicated, and how the opposition succeeded. Later chapters examine cultural dynamics, party institutions, historical parallels, and competing post-election prescriptions before concluding with what can reasonably be saidーand what remains open for future research.

This is not a campaign memoir, a polemic, or an attempt to assign moral blame. It is an effort to understand how contemporary American elections are increasingly decided, and what the 2024 result reveals about the evolving relationship between voters, parties, and political participation itself.

If the book has an underlying wager, it is this: that careful comparison and analytic restraint ultimately offer more insight than certainty delivered too quickly.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

◆商品名:TM 9-735 Pershing Heavy Tank T26E3 Technical ManualThe Pershing was the first operational heavy tank of the US Army; originally the T26, the tank was eventually redesignated the M26 Pershing medium tank. Named after General John J. Pershing who led the American Expeditionary Force in Europe in World War I, it was briefly used both in World War II and in the Korean War. Intended as an improvement of the M4 Sherman, the prolonged time of development meant only a small number saw combat in the European theater, most notably the 9th Armored Division's dramatic dash to take the Bridge at Remagen. On December 22nd, 1944, while the battle still raged, the brand new T26E3 tanks were ordered to be deployed to Europe. Twenty were sent in the first shipment, arriving at the port of Antwerp in January of 1945. They were given to the 1st Army, split between the 3rd and 9th Armored Divisions. A total of 310 T26E3 tanks would be sent to Europe before VE Day, but only the first twenty would see any combat action. Created in 1945, this technical manual reveals a great deal about the T26E3’s design and capabilities. Intended as a manual for those charged with operation and maintenance, it details many aspects of its engine, cooling, power and other systems. Originally labeled restricted, this manual was declassified long ago and is here reprinted in book form. Care has been taken to preserve the integrity of the text.

At the time of his death in 2007, Richard Rorty was widely acclaimed as one of the world's most influential contemporary thinkers. Stanley Cavell, who has been a leading intellectual figure from the 1960s to the present, has been just as philosophically influential as Rorty though perhaps not as politically divisive. Both philosophers have developed from analytic to post-analytical thought, both move between philosophy, literature and cultural politics, and both re-establish American philosophical traditions in a new and nuanced key.

The Ironist and the Romantic: Reading Richard Rorty and Stanley Cavell finds the sound of Rorty's cheerful pragmatism strikingly at odds with the anxious romanticism of Cavell. Beginning from this tonal discord, and moving through comprehensive comparative analysis on the topics of scepticism, American philosophy, literature, writing style and politics, this book presents the work of its central figures in a novel and mutually illuminating perspective. ?ine Mahon's unique and original comparative reading will be of interest not only to those working on Rorty and Cavell but to anyone concerned with the current state of American philosophy.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。

This book offers a broad perspective of revolutionary territorial politics by putting secession in the context of other forms of revolutionary territorial politics. This allows for a more complex and profound account of secession and offers the reader a conceptual approach to politics of revolutionary discontent with territorial status quo. Second, the book provides a multidiscoursive approach which combines the efforts of constitutional and comparative constitutional law scholars with international lawyers, EU lawyers and specialists in international relations. This allows for multifaceted and, in that regard, more adequate, balanced and rich analysis of secession and the other forms of revolutionary territorial politics.
画面が切り替わりますので、しばらくお待ち下さい。 ※ご購入は、楽天kobo商品ページからお願いします。※切り替わらない場合は、こちら をクリックして下さい。 ※このページからは注文できません。
